More info

The Buick Century was a full-size car produced by Buick from 1936 to 2005. The 1955 model was the first year that the Century was available with a V8 engine.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) began using the Buick Century in 1955 as a patrol car. The Century was chosen for its performance, comfort, and reliability. It featured a number of modifications, including a siren, red and blue lights, a spotlight, and a two-way radio. The Century served as the CHP's standard patrol car until 1960, when it was replaced by the Chevrolet Impala.

With a top speed of 115mph, its V8 engine gave 200hp, a fine performance back in the 1950's

Our two door 1:87 scle (H0) coupe is decorated in black with white door panels. The doors also feature the very detailed and colourful California Highway Patrol crest. This release will appear to collectors of Police vehicles as well as classic American models of the 1950s and 1960s era. The model comes on a plinth, with a case lid and an Oxford 1;87 scale wrap.
