Set - Triumph Set (5)

What a colourful collection of an iconic name in British sporting classic motoring! This five piece collection has been released separately in 1:76 scale, each model being around 5cm in length. Nonetheless, the line-up here epitomises the key moments of the Triumph marque. Here they are:

76TP004 Triumph 2500 TC – Tahiti Blue.

Our four door family car in bright blue with cream interior is registered USC 137R from 1976-77.

76TR4001 Triumph TR4 – Signal Red

Open topped and raring to go. Registered EDS 581B from 1964, our bright red TR4 with black interior is typical of the 1960s man-about-town sporting image. Just look at those wire wheels!

76TR6001 Triumph TR6 – Mimosa Yellow

Very streamlined and stylish with black rolled back tonneau cover and matching black interior. The TR6 had its heyday in the 1970s too. This example registered CNB 382M from 1974

76TR7001 Triumph TR7 – Triton Green.

Another very extrovert colour scheme for the new wedge fronted TR7 which was introduced in 1975/76, produced at Speke in Liverpool before moving to the Canley Works in 1978. Here it represents a production TR7 from 1981/82, registered GSX 8X.

76TS001 Triumph Stag – Saffron Yellow

Made famous with a cameo part in the James Bond movie ‘Diamonds are Forever’, 007 (Sean Connery) is seen driving a saffron yellow Triumph Stag to Amsterdam after ‘borrowing’ it from diamond smuggler Peter Franks who had been apprehended! Here it is with authentic movie number plate RVC 435H from 1969/70, open topped with tan interior.
