The LNER’s Express Pacific designs were probably the most famous of the LNER locomotives. Of these Pacific’s, the A4 is probably the most famous of all: Its distinctive streamlined shape has come to be a symbol of 1930s luxury and speed. Even today, it is an A4 which holds the world speed record for any steam locomotive in the world.

This engine is in excellent condition but suffers from having an incorrect tender, the one supplied is from an early Hornby.

We have carried out a full service and testing of this locomotive and it is an excellent runner, the engine bodywork looks untouched, and all numbers and names are good

It comes in its original box in good condition along with the instruction manual and alternative couplings.
