Ground Position Signal Kit Original Red

GK Ground Signals are easily mounted through a hole in the baseboard and can be controlled either by a standard switch using DC or by DCC using a decoder. All include pre-fitted LED's, casing, mounting cap and resistors.

Position light signals enable a train to move into a section under caution, but the driver needs to consider that the line ahead may be occupied so they must drive at a speed enabling them to easily stop ahead of an obstruction. Ground position signals are commonly located around marshalling yards and sidings for shunting and are so called because they are mounted close to the ground.
