Silos are an integral part of industrial rail operations worldwide. They are used to store materials or produce until a train is scheduled to transport the goods to their destination. This model of a silo by Gaugemaster is part of their Fordhampton range and accurately captures the look and detail of a grain silo.

The model is provided as a plastic kit that requires assembly. The parts are pre-coloured for use, but can be painted further to suit. Full instructions are included to help with the build.

The kit will build two large capacity cylindrical silos used for storing and handling bulk goods. Also included are pipes, ladders and walkways to add extra detail to the finished model.

The completed model has a footprint of approximately 150mm x 130mm and a height of 200m.
