More info

Golden Nylon brush 3 There’s a saying…”the right tool for the right job” and this is very true in the modelling world.

This may explain why there are a vast number of specialist tools available, ensuring that you can find the one that you are looking for to make the job easier, or to achieve a better end result.

For painting, there are various brushes of different shapes and sizes so there is sure to be one that is ideal for the task in hand.

In choosing the best brush for the task, you need to consider 3 things: the properties of the paint or media (e.g. viscosity), the properties of the surface (e.g absorbency), and the painting technique you are going to use (e.g. stippling).

However, in general terms to achieve a superior finish, you need a higher quality brush made from real hair (e.g. sable).

For tasks where a perfect finish is not paramount (e.g undercoating or basic weathering) a nylon brush would be a good choice.

For applying glue and weathering pigments using a hobby brush would be a prudent choice.

This is one from Javis that are designed for detail work both enamel and acrylic paint.
