Standard camouflage colours of Polish TS-11 Iskra
Polish designed and produced PZL TS-11 Iskra is the only jet trainer (until introduction of M-346 Master) in the Polish AF. Between 1963 and 1988 a total of almost 450 aircraft were built, of which two variants remained in service in 2015: training TS-11 bis DF and recce TS-11 R "Novax" designed in 1990s for the Polish Navy.
For many years all TS-11s wore overall aluminium livery. In mid-1990s unit-applied camouflage schemes were introduced onto the maritime aircraft, which later, after scheduled overhauls in WZL-2 in early 2000s, received a unified camouflage (in recce or training variant) and remained flying it also after transfer back to Polish AF. In the recent years some ex-maritime Iskras returned to overall aluminium scheme.
The Orange Line paints are specially formulated lacquer based paints optimised for airbrushing. The product was developed to satisfy needs of all modellers – it is perfect for professional use (application of many semi-transparent layers, gradual building of colours / colour shading, application of very fine lines, etc.), but also very forgiving to beginners. It has significantly limited odour compared to other similar products, hence is more suitable for home use. All colours are highly pigmented and permanent.
