Standard colours of British planes during the Falklands (Malvinas) conflict
British air services in the Falklands (Malvinas) Conflict included detachments of RAF, Fleet Air Arm (FAA), Royal Marines and Army Air Corps.
Most of the aircraft used wore standard pre-war colours with major exception regarding FAA's Harriers. Those belonging to 800 and 801 NAS had Extra Dark Sea Grey extended to their undersides.
As EDSG was regarded as too dark for operations at high altitudes, the reinforcing Harriers of 809 NAS (ferried on the Atlantic Conveyor) were repainted to Medium Sea Grey over Barley Grey scheme.
The Orange Line paints are specially formulated lacquer based paints optimised for airbrushing. The product was developed to satisfy needs of all modellers – it is perfect for professional use (application of many semi-transparent layers, gradual building of colours / colour shading, application of very fine lines, etc.), but also very forgiving to beginners. It has significantly limited odour compared to other similar products, hence is more suitable for home use. All colours are highly pigmented and permanent.
