Standard colours of Israeli aircraft from 1948 till 1967
In the early years of independence Israeli Air Force used a variety of camouflages - the first aircraft used a scheme of unspecified green and brown colours, later supplemented by standard RAF colours used on Spitfires and natural metal finish of Mustangs and Mosquitoes. Avia S-199 was the only type painted in Reed Green.
