CLASS 33/0 33042 Triple Grey Construction Sector
The British Rail Class 33 is a class of Bo-Bo diesel-electric Locomotive built by BRCW for the Southern Region of British Railways between 1960 and 1962. A total of 98 Class 33’s were originally built and bore the numbers D6500 – D6597. The Class was affectionately known as ‘Cromptons’ after the Crompton Parkinson electrical equipment installed in them. They shared many features with their lesser powered sisters the Class 26 and Class 27. In all 26 examples of the class 33 survive into preservation.
Dapol has modelled both the 33/0 and the 33/1. These models include the following features:
