One simple way to add variety to your goods wagon fleet is to build some from the many kits on offer. To do so will also add some fun and satisfaction into to your modelling activities. This kit from Peco builds into a 10ft wheelbase 1-plank wagon complete with a container of a 1933 design of BK type. The BK container was designed to carry furniture. It has a flat panel on the top right of each side where in real life the trader would affix their self-adhesive label. In common with the other Peco N gauge wagon kits, everything is included except glue, paint and transfers. The body is one-piece, as is the chassis block, making for quick assembly for which instructions are included. The wagon itself could be used just as a 1-plank wagon or can carry a suitable container from another manufacturer. A suitable glue for construction is DLAD-24 Plastic Magic. For paint choose either BR bauxite (RM1235 spray can, RM235 for brush application), or one of the many authentic rail colours from Railmatch to suit your chosen prototype. Finish off with transfers from the range by Woodland Scenics.
