A set of five finely detailed and painted figures depicting land surveyors. Includes two men using laser levels or theodolites, one holding a survey staff or measuring gauge, one carrying two marking rods and one kneeling down working on a plan drawing. This set would complement a building or construction site or perhaps a groundworks team preparing for a new section of track.
