Water rescue set 1 HO

HO Action set, Water Rescue set 1. This is an interesting hand-painted plastic figure set configured for a water-based rescue drama. The main focal point of the set is an inflatable rescue boat or RIB with an outboard motor that is conducting the rescue of a swimmer in difficulty. In the RIB is an adult male rescue worker wearing red overalls with an orange lifejacket. In the boat with him is a large brown Newfoundland dog wearing an orange flotation device who has clearly seen the swimmer in difficulty and is acting as a guide to the rescue worker. Already in the water is another darker Newfoundland dog with a similar flotation device on its back. This dog is swimming toward the casualty. There are two red flotation rings with the set that can be utilised as required as part of the rescue effort. The Swimmer in difficulty is positioned in an upright position with their upper torso, shoulders and head clear of the water. The casualty is obviously conscious and is looking to draw the attention of the rescue team by waving their right hand. Completing the ensemble is the towed metal trailer for the rescue boat. This interesting set has a distinct focus and as such would make an interesting and striking counterpoint to any number of dioramas involving waterborne leisure activities, be that a lake river or sea.
