Turnout switch module for use with Peco's PL-26 range of passing contact switches (Please note that switches are not included).
Enables switches to be connected without the need for soldering. Power is supplied to the module via the unit's external leads, each switch then becomes live when slotted into the module. Power can then be fed to your point motors via special sprung loaded ports also located on the exterior of the module. Easy to understand instructions are included ensuring there is no fuss or hassle and most importantly, no soldering.
Can the unit be extended to accommodate more switches?
Yes it can. The unit as supplied will accommodate up to three switches. By adding single PL-51 module add-on units, you can extend your module infinitely as long as you do not exceed the rating of your connected circuits.
Can you use other types of Peco switch in the module?
The module is designed specifically for Peco's PL-26 passing contact switches. Their PL-22 on/off switch and PL-23 on/on switch can also be used in the module, but not at the same time. All switches within the module must be of the same type and require the same rated power supply as there is only one power feed to each module.
Are there any other Peco products designed to work with this module unit?
Yes there are. If you like the hassle free concept of this unit, you may also be interested in Peco's PL-34 wiring harness with spade clips which connects to Peco PL-10 point motors without the need for any soldering. Extra power for multiple consecutive turnout operation (route setting) can be supplied via Peco's PL-35 Capacitor Discharge Unit and switches can be banded together using their PL-24 joining bar for multiple switching.
