Italeri IT2804 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX in 1/48 Scale. The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX was developed as a direct countermeasure to the Focke Wulf FW190A and first flew in February 1942. It had a significant increase in both speed and operational ceiling over its predecessor, the Mark V. It proved an immediate success and remained in service for the rest of WWII and became the first Allied fighter credited with shooting down an Me262 jet fighter.
