The Mk.VC Spitfire was supplied with two cannons and saw much action in the Middle-East where many Australian pilots were flying them for the RAF. When the Japanese Empire threatened Australia, many of these aircraft and their pilots were shipped back to Australia and become integrated into the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force).
