What is the Metcalfe Castle System?
The Metcalfe Castle System (as it has become known) is a range of individual cardboard kits that combine to create a castle, its walls, a gatehouse and watchtowers.
The kits are produced in both N gauge and OO gauge and allow modellers to add or omit as many or as few features as they wish by purchasing only the kits required. The castle curtain wall pack is provided with both straight and angled wall sections and watchtowers or gatehouses can be added in a bespoke fashion meaning no two castles will be identical.
The modular design of the castle system also has the advantage of being able to use selected models as stand-alone features, this allows modellers to create city walls or fortified stately homes should they not have the space for a full castle and its grounds.
